YouTube is trying yet a different new design for its online and mobile interface. The innovative design leans towards Google’s Material Design viewpoint, making sure that users can get a hold to their desired media exclusive tons of jumble to sift through. The aim is to streamline the practices across all the platforms presenting a clean, simple look.
Users could turn it on prior by tinkering with the source code on YouTube, but the technique was far too difficult for everyone to bring into play.
Now, YouTube has made it simpler and easier for everybody to test out the slicker, cleaner website.
Google Material Design Philosophy
As is the case with Material Design, the modification gives the interface a particular, white look, with a laid back search bar and navigation options on the left. The focal point is said to be more towards the content, which is noticeably more eye-catching as an end result of these changes.
They’ve also detached the upload date underneath the videos, and as a result, only the entire views and usernames are able to be seen now. Other details are being attached to the profile button on the top-right.
As a final point, the video page is cleaner than ever with lesser, focused options.
The changes will be turning around quite slowly but surely to users worldwide, preliminary with 1% of all users within the first week.
Dark Mode
Well, that’s not all. YouTube, which had in the past experienced a Dark Mode for low-light conditions, is currently making the feature mainstream and accessible to all users on the web. The element can be toggled below the new menu options on the profile button.
Polymer
These changes come courtesy of a new design framework, Polymer, which helps make things easier for web development and could unbolt the door for even more simplification of the interface in the prospect. The latest Dark Mode is one of the new features which have happened directly as an outcome of Polymer.
Be ready. You can look forward to further powerful new features coming soon! This is only the beginning.
