Yale’s Nest-controlled smart lock warns the owner before battery dies. The tradition of getting late for office due to your forgetfulness for the keys of your apartment is going to be replaced by a Yale’s Nest controlled smart lock. The Nest x Yale gets unlocked remotely via the Nest app. A built in touchscreen mobilises its unlocking.
The lock company Yale has recently purchased August, later it also managed to join forces with Nest on a new smart lock, and now we know more about the product it has introduced.
The recently invented Nest x Yale lock gives its users a key free, touchscreen deadbolt along with a lot of options for remote unlocking. It also does grant the users access to family or guests. For one, user can unlock it by entering a passcode — it holds up to 250 –, that can be limited to only a specific times of the day for cleaners or others who require limited access.

This smart lock, at the same time does work with the Nest app. When working with Nest App, it gives you a host of remote and security features.
Could not get my point? Let me make the point clearer; you can use this smart lock with the Nest Secure, so that when ever you unlock the door — of your house, office or whatever the place — it also will deactivate the alarm.
Another thing to remember is that you can also marry it with the Nest Hello video doorbell. In this way you can see when someone arrives and then let them in remotely.
The company points out that the lock is protected on the outside by reinforced hardware, and there is no any keyhole cylinder to pick. As for as the other kind of security, it uses multiple layers of bank-level encryption tech to protect it from being hacked.
The lock can be opened by the touchscreen even if the power or WiFi fails. It will warn the owner well before the battery dies, but should that happen, you could enter a code by touching a nine-volt battery to the terminals at the bottom of the lock.
Next x Yale smart lock will go on pre-order in the next month, with deliveries that have been slated for March.
This is unfortunate ti say that we don’t know the price yet, but as a frame of reference for the company, August’s least costly Smart Lock costs $149, while its Smart Lock Pro gets sold for $279.
