While the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 made its way into the smartphone world earlier in the year, it did so only in the Chinese market. However, now, it’s India’s turn, as the official launch for the upcoming phone is set to take place tomorrow. If the launch in China is an indication, then the phone will prove to be of great value with excellent hardware in the Indian market as well.
While equipped with quite some decent specs, quite easily the selling point and the star feature for the phone is its set of cameras. The phone consists of an 8MP main camera, and a 5MP secondary shooter. The phone also makes use of pixel binning in order to take better shots, however, the shots do indeed come out at a 12MP resolution as a result of this. And while the front facing 13MP camera might not be as flashy as the rest, it still gets the job done in a more than decent manner.

The design of the phone is quite similar to the other phones present on the market. The phone comes with the typical glass sandwich design, however, one point that people might consider to be a stand out one is probably the fact that the phone comes in some quite eye-catching gradient colors.
The front of the phone features a 6.3-inch HD+ LCD screen, and to be honest, the screen looks quite decent, even when you consider the fact that it’s only an LCD, and while it won’t have all the glamor of an AMOLED screen – for the price, you’re getting quite the package.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 660 chipset, and this is actually quite powerful for a phone tight budget. The phone will be available in three variants – 3GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB. On the battery front, the phone features with a 4000mAh battery, a Type-C port, 18 watt wired charging, an IR blaster, along with an headphone jack too.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 – 48MP for $150
Xiaomi has made a reputation for itself for manufacturing phones with brilliant specs at a very low price, and this phone will prove to be no different. While we don’t exactly know what the phone will cost based in the Indian market, we can make a guess as the phone was launched in China for $147. One might expect even the most expensive configuration to no be more than $200.
