Xiaomi Redmi 6 and 6A are now official at amazing price. Finally, Xiaomi’s Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A have been made official by the company, and will soon hit Xiaomi stores as they are officially available for purchase.
Some previous rumors suggests that Redmi 6 was expected to have a notched display however now it seems like that only its larger “plus” version, or Redmi 6 Plus will get a cutout on the display with a higher screen-to-body ratio.

Redmi 6
Design & Display
With metal finish body, the Redmi 6 looks like a well-rounded budget midrange unlike the leaked notched display unit. It features a simplistic design, fair bezel size, and the dual cameras setup.
It’s available in different exciting color options as well. At the rear side, there’s a generic cosmetic line, a horizontal dual camera setup, and you will find fingerprint sensor at upper rear as well.
This time, it comes with a 5-45-inch display with the same aspect ratio as its predecessor, Redmi 5 and an HD+ (720 x 1440) resolution. It features IPS LCD display technology.
Hardware & Storage
It packs a 12nm Helio P22 chipset, octa-core, clocked at 2.0 GHz. Its new SoC is equivalent to a Snapdragon 625 in terms of performance but offers more battery life.
It has 3 or 4 GB RAM, whereas comes with two storage options

Camera
The perfect midrange smartphone, Redmi 6 feature a dual camera set up on the rear. Its dark horizontal array marked a 12 MP main and 5 MP secondary sensor.

Design and Display
The Redmi 6A which is an entry-level smartphone has almost the similar neat design with a metal finish, antenna lines, and slightly curved edges.
It also features rounded corners for the display; however unlike Redmi 6 it has no visible fingerprint sensor. It comes with single lens set up which is horizontally aligned as well.
Luckily, it comes with the same display panel as the Redmi 6 sporting an HD+ (720 x 1440) resolution, at an 18:9 aspect ratio of 5.45-inches display.
Hardware & Storage
Due to the lower price as compared to Redmi 6, it has a less powerful Helio A22 chipset but has the same octa-core configuration with 2.0 GHz clock speed.
The Redmi 6A comes with 2 GB RAM, and there are is no choice of additional RAM. The new A22 chipset is Mediatek’s first A series SoC with special power saving features for entry-level phones.
Remember the last time, Redmi 5A had 16 GB internal storage .This one also has 16 GB internal storage, and it does not get any additional 16 GB internal storage extension options.
Camera
As, Redmi 6A has a single lens on the rear so, it shoots decent 13 MP photos. It also features a 5 MP front camera which is capable of facial recognition and background blur.
Software
It will run Android Oreo out of the box carrying Xiaomi’s latest MIUI 10 that offers advanced photography features for even single lens entry-level phones.
Redmi 6A also houses a 3,000 mAh battery and company promise 19 days of standby time. It also uses micro USB 2.0 as an alternative of a USB Type-C slot.

Redmi 6A costs CNY 599 (~Rs. 10,800) and comes in only one 2/16 GB variant.

Availability of both handsets
On June 15th, both phones will initially be launched for the Chinese market. After that, both phones are also highly possible to launch in Pakistan in the coming days.
It is important to mention here that international specs may slightly vary. Xiaomi typically swaps the SoC with a Qualcomm processor for the international market.
