Huawei has been facing the wind this year, so that gives an opportunity for its competitors to make sure they can capitalize on the slowing down of Huawei and work on their expansion. One such company to be first on this train is Xiaomi, who has a very different working strategy to that of other companies, as it continues to work on dividing the company into smaller mobile divisions working on different range of smartphones. It was the RealMe brand at first which was focused on entry level smartphones that would allow Xiaomi to focus on their flagship phones, and now that Xiaomi has already announced no Mi Max and Mi Note for this year, the introduction of a new CC brand would mean that Xiaomi has as much time in the world to get the next Mi flagship as top-shelf as any of its competitors.
Mi CC is the newest brand from Xiaomi which means “camera+camera” hinting to the dual cameras now becoming a norm in the smartphone world, but it also means a variety of other meanings like “chic, cool, colorful and creative” (lots of smarphone related adjectives from C).

In a nutshell, Xiaomi has planned this smartphone division for the younger generation who isn’t into specs that much and would prefer a smartphone that looks modern and beautiful at the same time. Something they can show off to their friends, a phone that makes them stand out. Xiaomi is already trumpeting its differentiation.
“Mi CC is created by one of the youngest product teams in Xiaomi, among which half are art majors and are dedicated to creating a trendy design for young consumers,” it wrote in an announcement.
From what history tells us, Xiaomi is as innovative a company as you will find out there and so the latest CC brand is surely one to look out for.
