The global technology leader and one of China’s leading smartphone brands — Xiaomi is expediting its move to launch some of its exceptional products in Pakistan. According to NetMag’s sources, Xiaomi is unveiling at least four of its magnificent devices in Pakistan today. These include a flagship model Xiaomi Mi 8, two midrange variants Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A and next-generation wristband series of Xiaomi, called the Mi Band 3. The launch event is said to be held in Lahore and we’ll be there to give you insightful details about these devices, so stay tuned. Here are some rumors about the devices we have been hearing:
Xiaomi Mi 8
Xiaomi Mi 8 was initially launched in China back in May and now the Chinese tech giant is expanding its reach to Pakistan. Mi 8 comes with an improved dual-frequency GPS system. The phone has a 6.21-inch FHD+ AMOLED full-screen (Samsung made) display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It features a 20MP front camera that uses pixel binning technology and the rear camera is a 12MP dual AI sensor. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 845 chipsets and the black color variant of the device will be most likely offered in Pakistan in PKR 65,000.

Redmi 6
Redmi 6 is a midrange offering by Xiaomi and in Pakistan, it may cost you around PKR 25,000 for 4GB/64GB model. The phone is powered by the latest MediaTekHelio P22 chipset. It consumes about 48% less power than most of the 28nm chipsets. The phone features a 5.45-inch screen with an 18:9 display. The phone features a dual camera arrangement of 12MP + 5MP around the back and 5MP shooter for selfies with AI Portrait mode.
Redmi 6A features the same body and screen as Redmi 6. The phone has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera- both capable of using Xiaomi’s AI Portrait mode. Redmi 6A is priced at PKR 17,000 for 2+32 GB.
Mi Band 3
Xiaomi has been successful in its wristband business and its last year’s Mi Band 2 has been ranked among the top 3 wearable devices in the world. The Mi Band 3 comes with a large OLED touchscreen display and a button for easy control. It has a 20-day battery life and 50-meter water resistance. It will cost around PKR 4,000 in Pakistan.
