Xiaomi has announced some latest news, which has taken its MI users by storm. Xiaomi has announced a contest, which goes by the name of “Xiaomi Photographic Challenge, and the winner might win up to ten thousand dollars in cash. For the challenge, all participants will be eligible to send pictures until the 23rd of November, 2018. The contest comes with only one major condition – the photos snapped MUST be done so by using a Xiaomi phone. And the selection of the winner is simple enough, as well – the winner will actually be selected by the Global fans of the Chinese brand.
There are four categories that Xiaomi has selected, in which the users might submit an unedited photo. These four categories range from the likes of Natural look, to the likes of Piece of world, Dreamscape, and finally, Why so serious. These pictures also must contain an EXIF information, and might range in sizes between 300KB to 10MB. Each participant will have the chance to submit six photos of their liking, each. To move on from the very first round, participants will have to receive three or more ‘likes’. And of course, those who will clear this round, will indeed climb up in the challenge, and will indeed come one step closer to the winning prize.

Going into the second round, professional judges appointed by the Chinese company themselves will have the task to eliminate a huge number of photos, up until the point that a hundred photos remain (25 in each category that I mentioned above). From the 27th of November to the 6th of November, the remaining hundred photos will be voted on by the “Global Xiaomi fans.”
So what about the cash prize? Well, the first prize winner in each category will have the chance to win 10,000 USD, the second prize winner in each of the four remaining categories will be awarded with a prize of 2000 USD, while the third prize winners will receive 500 USD in cash.
And also, another important thing to note is that each of the winners will have to send a copy of their respective passport in order to be eligible for the claiming of the prize. And also, while the entry to the challenge is completely free, the users of Xiaomi will have to open an account in order to participate and to be eligible.
