The pace sensation, Haris Rauf took a hat-trick at MCG after his comeback for Melbourne Stars. His numbers in BBL are now sick, he played only four matches, in which he took 13 wickets and stand second in highest wicket takers list of the tournament so far. With this hat trick, Haris Rauf becomes the first Pakistani to take a hat trick in BBL.
In his fourth game against Sydney Thunders, Rauf took three consecutive wickets of Matthew Gilkes, Callum Ferguson and Daniel Sams. Rauf bowled with extreme pace, also he bowled the fastest delivery at 151.3ks. He had bowled with the continuous pace of 145 kph.

Prior to his comeback, Haris Rauf replaced Dale Steyn as he left the tournament. Pat Brown, the English bowler was supposed to replace the Dale Steyn, but an injury restricted him to make his appearance, ultimately again paving the way for Haris Rauf to come back on the big stage.
Haris Rauf took 13 wickets in four games only with a striking average of 7.23. Rauf, who came under criticism from some fans over his cut throat wicket celebrations revised his gesture to a traditional Asian ‘salaami’ style.
The 25 year old, who is knocking on the doors of national team, marked his statement by registering his performance. The speedster belong from Rawalpindi, which is famous for producing the fast bowlers with the likes of Shoaib Akhtar. He worked part-time in a shop as a shopkeeper and a salesman, when his immense speed and accurate bowling caught the attention of Lahore Qalandars in 2017. At one point, he used to earn only 250 rupees a day and some from tape ball cricket for local clubs.
One fact that stunned everyone, Haris Rauf, before playing for Lahore Qalanders, never played hardball cricket, as he was used to play with tape ball. Interestingly, he went to Australia to play club cricket, but luck favored the young gun as everyone in his way either got injured or left with other reason to open a spot for him to showcase his talent on the biggest stage of Australia.
