Vivo to launch a true bezel-less Apex smartphone on 12 June. The wait is going to be over, as Vivo finally announces that company is all set to release its first ever truly bezel-less smartphone with “world’s best” screen-to-body ratio. So, mark the calendar for official launch of Apex concept smartphone at 12 June,2018 all around the world.
The Vivo Apex concept smartphone was first revealed at the Mobile World Congress in February 2018. The competitive edge of this phone is its Apex concept which includes three amazing feature
- A pop-up front-facing camera
- An edge-to-edge display (98 percent screen-to-body ratio),
- In-display fingerprint sensor (worked anywhere in the lower half of the display)
In a recent activity, Vivo released a new video ad of upcoming Fifa World Cup 2018 by showcasing the phone in it. The phone highlighted astonishing screen display, under glass unique fingerprint sensor and a pop-up selfie camera. However, the feature that makes the phone stand out is its 98% screen-to-body ratio ultimately creating the truly bezel-less experience. The good news is there is no notch in sight, thankfully.
Vivo Apex features exceptional top and side bezels of 1.8mm, the thinnest with a 4.3mm bottom bezel.

Spec of Vivo Apex
The Vivo Apex shown at Mobile World Congress 2018 has:
- 99-inch OLED panel
- Snapdragon 845
- USB Type-C connector
- 5 mm headphone jack
Well, now the question is, to what extent it will be similar to the phone we saw at MWC? According to the recent video, two out of three technologies (bezel-less screen, the pop-up selfie camera) were clearly seen. However, it doesn’t appear the exact same in-display fingerprint sensor. Well, that doesn’t mean it won’t have an in-display sensor.
By featuring Sensors and speakers all hidden away or sculpted into the body and new engineering breakthroughs in camera. Its selfie camera motorizes up from the top of the phone when the selfie mode is on, and then slides away again when it’s not required.
It would be the differentiating point as the company has redesigned the structure of conventional smartphones. Vivo has taken the technology to a whole new level.
Coming to sensor fingerprint screen technology, users can touch anywhere on the bottom half of the screen to perform fingerprint recognition, as Vivo has transformed the entire bottom half of the OLED screen. It will enable a more flexible and instinctive experience.
