Over the course of the past few months, we have seen more and more Chinese OEMs getting into the game of smartwatches. Xiaomi has already proceeded on by launching two in the form of the Mi Watch as well as Xiaomi Watch COLOR – both of whom were launched in the last quarter of last year. Oppo too went ahead right into the market with its Oppo watch. On the other hand, Realme too seems to be getting into the act as the company has confirmed that its smartwatch too is on its way. But, in the latest turn of events, the latest new captures Vivo as the latest speculation claims that the company is already in the process of developing its own smartwatch. Vivo is developing its very own smartwatch.
While last year the Chinese company Vivo did in fact claim that it is going to begin making its own smartwatches soon, the company did not specify when the first of its smartwatches are to be expected.

For now though, while the rumor is obviously there that Vivo has indeed started the process, we’re still in the dark as to the details with regards to the watch or indeed the details that may be expected or the design. Nonetheless though, as time does progress, more and more details are only likely to surface.
Regardless though, with the availability of the current information, it’s a safe bet to assume that the smartwatch will be launched this year. For now, we can only hope that Vivo doesn’t too tag along with yet another Apple Watch clone and that the company develops and adopts its very own design language. As usual though, it is expected that the watch will be made available in China before it does anywhere else.
