In Korea, LG’s latest and upcoming phone, the V40 ThinQ has been made official by the company itself. This announcement follows the statement over which we have been speculating over for months now, as the company follows the announcement of the phone by the confirmation that the phone will hold five cameras, with three being present on the rear side of things, while two cameras will be present on the front. This doesn’t come as a surprise though, because like I mentioned before, we have been speculating over this for quite the time now, and we’ve seen such camera setups previously in leaks as well.
The announcement follows the confirmation that the device will feature a slightly larger 6.4 inch display, when in comparison to last year’s model, and the upcoming phone will be available in red, blue, as well as gray. A rear mounted fingerprint scanner can be seen and found on the phone, and this comes as a result of LG’s teaser trailer that matches earlier leaks. Though it is true that LG doesn’t actually go on to show the upcoming phone’s front, previous leaks, which have now proven to be accurate, go on to suggest an edge-to-edge notched display.

Otherwise, however, the V40 looks quite similar to its predecessor – the V30, with a couple of design touches from this year’s G7. Latest reports have gone on to suggest that the handset will feature the latest Snapdragon 845, a Quad DAC, and a button present on the phone, solely serving the purpose of the activation of the Google assistant.
Now with the case of the processor, and the button for purpose of activation of the Google assistant, I’d like to remind all the readers that this is based upon rumors only, and this isn’t part of any sort of confirmation. So to know exactly what the V40 ThinQ will be about, what will be featured and what won’t, we have to wait for the official launch, which is set for the 3rd of October.
