The fastest charging smartphone currently available around the globe is the OPPO Reno Ace, courtesy of the device’s 65W fast charging solution – due to which its massive 4000mAh battery can charge completely only in about 30 minutes. Upcoming phone from Redmi may be the king of fast charging
Now though, it looks like Redmi’s upcoming device may give the Reno Ace a run for its money as a new device from the Chinese manufacturer has made its way to China’s 3C telecommunications website and it might just end up beating Reno when it comes to the subject of fast charging. In accordance with the listing, it has in fact been noted that the device may end up featuring with 66W charging speeds.
While it would undoubtedly represent a very fast manner with which a smartphone may be charged, it would actually be just a negligible upgrade over OPPO Reno Ace’s 65W charging. It’s quite possible that Xiaomi targeted the 66W landmark just so it could boast the phone as the fastest charging device in the world.

The Redmi K30 series too is set to arrive next month, however, there is no word whether these devices will feature with 66W fast charging or not. Regardless however, it is quite good to see that different manufacturers are making strides in fast charging technology.
Eight months ago in March, Xiaomi made the claim that the company was then working on 100W charging, which in theory, would be capable enough to charge a battery as big as 4000mAh in only 17 minutes. Vivo too revealed not so long ago that the company was making its own progress, as the manufacturer announced that it was testing a 120W charging solution – and of course, you would expect these charging speeds to be even more impressive. A 120W charging solution would take a phone with a 4000mAh battery from zero to 100% in just 13 minutes.
