So many users of the cellular network Ufone waited very long to get 4G coverage on their network and after so long the wait is finally over for Ufone users in the major cities of Pakistan as 4G/LTE services of Ufone are finally officially launched.Ufone werethe only telecom operator in the country who were left without having 4G coverage, in turn the network will now offer 4G services in major cities of Pakistan, reported by the Express Tribune.
The company’s heads consider this feature to be a turning point for Ufone , moreover the company was facing a lot of criticismin the industry for this long wait. An industry professional stated that “It was critical for Ufone to introduce 4G, otherwise it would have died as a brand because every other cellular company offers this technology.”It should also be noted that PTA’s statistical analysis till February 2019 makes it certain that the major company, Ufone has 8 million 3G subscribers and 365,185 4G subscribers, whichmeans that the company have already started rolling out 3G/4G servicesbut in turn were reluctant to make an official announcement as they wanted to first launch the service and see if it is consistent or not and well we got the answer to that question.

Interestingly there are also some rumors out in theopen which state that Ufonehave not acquired any 4G license from regulators but instead, the company is given permission to run 4G on its current spectrum. In reply to that, Ufone’s spokesperson assured users that the company have acquired “technology neutral licenses for cellular mobile services. It has gone through the requisite procedural requirements for 4G/LTE launch, for which regulatory permission has been acquired.”Amir Pasha also argued that the company’s focus during past years was to provide 3G services in all over the country without discrimination including the very lowly populated remote areas of the country.
