Twitter adds a Dark mode for the ease of users

When you talk about the leading social media website in the world, one website which comes to mind is Twitter, which over the years has gained a lot of popularity mainly because users can see, share and even reply to the famous people of the world. Moreover, the platform is showing to its community that once in a while they do listen to the requests put in by their many users all over the world.

 The company’s CEO Jack Dorsey’s has promised his community of a true, battery-saving dark mode. Furthermore,  the company have officially posted the tweeted which highlights the announcement and we can see a really sleek looking dark mode which has a proper black background. The company has given this new feature the name of “lights out,” and it is believed that this new feature will roll out today, but only for its iOS app. So far no news in regard to the many Android users.

Furthermore, modern daysmartphone which now come packed with OLED screens consume a lot of battery to portray the bright and vibrant colors of most applications, now after the launch of a black background most popular applications can really play a part inhelping users save battery and in turn extend the overall battery life. The OLED panel only lights up the pixels that aren’t black, so a lot of energy can be saved if you’re just scrolling through the dark mode. Twitter also argues that the proper black background helps reduce eye strain in low-lit environments.
