We still have some time to go before we see the eventual release of Samsung upcoming flagship phone, the Samsung Galaxy s10, however, as you would expect, the rumors are already spreading, even though the release has probably six months still to go.
Samsung is yet to comment officially about the specs, price and the release date for the Galaxy s10, but there is little doubt in the credibility surrounding the rumors, hence we do know what to expect from Samsung’s upcoming flagship.
It is rumored that the s10 has the internal codename “Beyond,” and some rumors with concerns to the hardware specs of the phone have already hit the internet, and amongst these contain the claims that Samsung will launch three different s10 models, all at once.
According to reports, the three variants have apparently been given the codenames initiating from the codename I just stated – these being Beyond 0, Beyond 1, and Beyond 2. If the rumors are to be trusted, then it is stated that Beyond 1 will be a follow up to the Galaxy s9, the beyond 2 a successor of the s9 plus, while the beyond 0 will be an all new, entry-level device.

In September 2018, there were three model numbers which were leaked online, and these more or less went on to confirm that there will be three different variants coming for the Galaxy s10. These model numbers range from the likes of SM-G970, to the likes of SM-G975, and the SM-G973. The first two model numbers aren’t of much surprise, because they match up with the previous phones that Samsung has released, like the s9, but the third model is actually brand new, and probably is a reference to the “Beyond 0” entry level device.
And also in accordance to these rumors, the two devices that will be follow ups to the s9 and the s9 plus will both have 5.8 inch screen displays, while the third device, which will be a brand new entry level device, will have a 6.2 inch screen display, much like the s9 plus has.
Also, quite interesting is the prospect of the Galaxy s10 having an in display fingerprint scanner. Some new reports have surfaced suggesting that Samsung will ignore the technology used by Vivo and Oppo to have In-display fingerprint scanning present in their phones, and the company will rather use its own ultrasonic tech.
The prospect of ultrasonic tech is actually quite exciting, because theoretically, these fingerprint scans could potentially be faster, and also more efficient than the current optical sensor that companies put underneath displays, at the moment.
