It is a Cairo headquartered app-based bus hailing startup, recently announced that their operations would be expanded to Pakistan and would start off with Lahore. After Egypt and Kenya, Pakistan would now be the next stop for this expanding business. SWVL was found in 2017, and the potential attracted numerous VCs and have a roundup of around $80 million. That is a massive feat for a company that is so similar to what uber is providing, but it might just be more famous because it further cuts down the cost of transportation through ride-sharing basis without compromising on ride comfort since the intiative of the company is to provide premium transportation services.
It would be a great alternative to other services, and only time will tell how significant it becomes in Pakistan.
