In the latest turn of events with regards to Google and its upcoming device : the Google Pixel 4a, a carrier based in Germany might have mistakenly leaked the phone’s release data set for Europe. In accordance with what the carrier has to say, the long-awaited device from the search engine giant might launch as soon as the 22nd of May. the pandemic won’t be delaying the Pixel launch.
As far as the sheer sake of timing goes – it does in fact make quite a bit of sense. If it does turn out to be the case, the release for Google’s upcoming device would be within the same week as the previously scheduled Google I/O event – which now of course happens to be cancelled. As a matter of fact, the rumored Pixel 4a release date is actually just over a week from the data Google I/O was supposed to start – this certainly going on to fit the convention of Google announcing a device and then putting it out for sale just a week later. And so if this all does turn out to be true, then an official announcement for the release date could come out in just about two weeks time.

The Pixel 4a will be both smaller as well as more affordable when compared with both the Pixel 4 as well as the Pixel 4XL. The timing for a relatively cheaper device also can’t be any better for Google, as in this time of recession, not many would have the luxury to afford a thousand dollar flagship.
In any case though, based on all the speculation surrounding the device, the Pixel 4a does sound like it’s going to be a rather promising phone that will feature with solid specs at a lower price when compared with either the Pixel 4 or the XL.
