Based on the recent reports, the release date for the Google Pixel 4a could end up being pushed back to either July or August. While this wasn’t at all anticipated before, it now looks likely. Nonetheless, the eventual release might just end up being bad news form Apple and the iPhone 12.
Apple might have a thing or two to worry about because when consumers will be left to choose over the Pixel 4a’s low $349 price compared to the $649 price tag of the entry level iPhone, most will end up comparing the specs. If this situation does come forward, then it won’t be too good for Apple.
It is said that the Pixel 4a will feature with a 5.8-inch OLED display which would of course be bigger than the 5.4-inch display on the iPhone. Moreover, as Apple continues with its stance of refusing to adopt the USB-C for fast charging amongst its iPhones, the Pixel 4a will feature with the USB-C port along with 18W charging.

While it is true that the Pixel 4a is only likely to feature with just a single main 12MP camera in comparison to wide and ultra wide shooters that are likely to occupy the iPhone 12, Google has always been known to deliver excellent images regardless of the number of sensors.
Also, in accordance with what the leaks have been suggesting, it is expected that the Pixel 4a won’t actually feature with a notch up front like we expect from the iPhone. Instead for the Pixel, there should be a small punch-hole camera placed in the upper left corner. And while it is indeedexpected that the notch on the iPhone 12 will be smaller than what is seen on the iPhone 11, it’s still likely to be bigger than the cutout on the Pixel.
