The Android 10 update that was brought forward by Xiaomi for its Mi A3 was perhaps amongst the worst updates that we have seen in a long time. Even after three updates, there were still complaints by users that there existed buggy firmware. This eventually forced the company to roll back the updates all three times. And now, for the fourth time running, Xiaomi has started the process of rolling out the Android 10 update for all the Mi A3 users out there.
The update is brought on with the version number V11.0.14.0.QFQMIXM and it is expected that it will land on Mi A3 units Over-The-Air. Of course as you might have already imagined, the update will be pushed out in batches in order to ensure that there is no issue. And so, if you are yet to receive the update, it would be advisable for you to exercise some patience. There is also of course the option present where you can just simply check from the system setting whether or not a new update is available for your device.

This particular update is significantly lighter when in comparison to the previous updates as this features with a size of just 32.6MB. In comparison, the previous updates that find themselves to be cancelled actually weigh in at 1.33GB in file size. While there wasn’t any mention of specific features within the changelog, we can in fact take solace in the fact that at least the changelog mentioned the fact that some obsolete features were removed.
Amongst the new features is included a system-wide dark mode, gesture navigation and also privacy controls. It has also been said that the build will fix the issue of fingerprint not showing up when the user picks up the phone.
While we do not know whether this update will be clean, we can hope that there will be no issues with this update!
