Earlier in the month, there were some teasers with regards to the Huawei MatePad Pro and now, the Chinese manufacturer has officially gone on to reveal the tablet itself.
As one might imagine, the tablet will go on to challenge the likes of the iPad Pro as well as the Galaxy Tab S6. With the tablet, Huawei has also introduced a keyboard case as well as a stylus pen – which in itself is quite capable as advertised by the company – has the potential to detect 4,096 levels of pressure. Not only this as it also charges when magnetically attached to the top of the tablet.
One distinct feature found in the company’s tab is the fact that it comes with a punch-hole display, which houses an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera. The punch-hole does not make an appearance on the iPad or Samsung’s tab. On the other hand comes a 10.8-inch 2560 x 1600 LCD screen on Huawei’s tab as it has a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio.

When taking into consideration the core specs of the device, one might argue that the MatePad Pro is a powerhouse. It features with the latest Kirin 990 chipset which also made its way in the Huawei Mate 30 series, and features with either six or eight gigs of RAM and 128 to 512 gigs of internal storage. And if you’re looking for extra storage – there is also the option for that.
The tablet has a massive 7250mAh battery integrated within along with 40W wired charging. Moreover, it also packs 15W fast charging as well as 7.5W reverse charging. The fact that it comes with such a big battery means that wireless charging is certainly a very feasible option.
While Huawei hasn’t exactly been too vocal on the issue, for now, the tablet will make its way only in the Chinese market. However, if the Google ban is removed, then one might imagine a global launch.
