Thanks to all the leaked press renders that have been following up along the long list of rumors that have come our way, we now finally know how the LG G8 ThinQ will look. There might be some similarities between the G7 ThinQ and the upcoming phone, as the upcoming phone will still have a notched display, and will come with the same number of cameras on the back of the phone, however, not everything is the same, and this difference comes in the manner of the battery capacity.
The battery capacity for the upcoming phone was found in documents concerning certification, issued by Brazil’s version of the FCC – called Anatel. The certification was issued for a Li-ion battery, consisting of a model number BL-T41.

The document goes on to state that the battery has a capacity of 3400mAh, however, the image in question itself shows the capacity as being that of 3500mAh. So the question that then comes to mind is : how do we actually know it is for the LG G8 ThinQ?
The document says the LG BL-T41 is compatible with “Projecto Alpha”, and when you consider the fact that it has been previously been reported that the codename for the upcoming flagship too is “Alpha”, one can go on to safely assume that this indeed is the LG G8 ThinQ’s battery.
The LG G8 ThinQ will have a bigger battery than its predecessor
The G7 ThinQ has a battery consisting of 3000mAh, so taking into consideration a 3500mAh battery – it would certainly be a huge bump in the battery capacity. While on the other hand, we have the LG V50 ThinQ – a phone which will come with an even bigger battery – that of 4000mAh.
