Just recently, after days and days of leaks as well as teasers, Honor has finally gone on to announce the Honor X10 in China. At the company’s launch event, the brand’s president in George Zhao proceeded on to reveal that his company has gone on to sell more than 80 million Honor X series phones all across the globe.
Honor has been selling its Honor X series ever since late 2013. The first phone to be included in this particular series was the Honor 3X – which happened to be a rebranded version of the Huawei Ascend G750. Ever since then, the company has launched newer models every year and we even got to see some Pro and Max versions along the way.
Indeed the Honor X10 – which is now finally launched, is the very first 5G model that stands out within the series. And so with this in mind, the CEO, at the very beginning of the keynote, went on to recall the series as a whole. He highlighted the fact that more than 80 million Honor X series devices have been sold ever since the series made its debut.

One would then have to imagine of course then that this count of 80 million would’ve been even more has the Honor 9X series been launched on a global scale. Indeed even though it was only made available in China, the series still managed to ship ten million units.
Of course now that the US has imposed the latest sanctions on Huawei as with regards to restricting chip supplies, one would have to imagine that not only will Huawei be severely impacted by such a decision, but the same will be the fate for its subsidiary in Honor.
And so it is quite expected that the sales of both Huawei as well as Honor smartphones will go down drastically in the time to come – and factor in the impact that the coronavirus has made on the global economy; things get bad to worse.
