So Huawei has been part of a major conspiracy over the past year and things have just gone from bad to worse after the U.S. Justice Department announced criminal charges against Chinese telephone manufacturing company, Huawei. The government have in turn filed a number of charges against the alleged company, including charges of bank and wire fraud, obstruction of justice, and theft of technology from T-Mobile. The charges are being filed against the company and against its chief financial officer, Meng Wanzhou and well the company are currently in deep waters.
The charges have partly been announced in an effort to hand overMeng from Canada to the relative justice authorities, after she was arrested in December at the request of the U.S. government. She is staying at one of her family’s homes in Vancouver as of right now, and is waiting for a decision from the Canadian court as to whether she will be extradited to the U.S.

The U.Sauthorities have also accused Meng of misguiding a global bank regarding Huawei’s links to a company that supposedly operated as a subsidiary to the business in Iran, which violates some very serious trade sanctions which have been imposed by the US Government, in accordance with that. Mengstates that she is innocent and that she played no part in that.
Huawei has also been accused of theft of technology from T-Mobile. In the mentioned case, Huawei employees reportedly misappropriated technology from a T-Mobile lab in Washington state. The tech which has been dubbed the name “Tappy,” was used to test smartphones, and although Huawei have contested the case, it did say that two employees acted improperly in the lab. T-Mobile initially sought $500 million in damages but was in turn awarded a whopping $4.8 million in May of2017 which is way more than they could have ever expected.

Moreover, in accordance with what the government says, Huawei is now considered a national security threat and its tech could be involvedin spying on the United States. The Congress is also reportedly considering legislation against Huawei, which may very well limit how U.S. companies use tech from Huawei and could even prevent potential consumers from using Huawei devices which will be bring a significant amount of loss, considering the fact that the US provides the company with a very large market. Well lets wait and see how it all ends up, as of right now Huawei seems to be in a lot of trouble.
