While we still await the launch for the Galaxy Note 20 set for later in the year, we’ve already got a glimpse as to how the Galaxy S30 might end up looking like. From what we’ve seen, it isn’t too surprising to see a completely bezel-less display and a quad-camera setup as these seem to be something that we’d all be expecting, however, the fact that there is the possibility for touchscreen panels on the phone’s sides is pretty intriguing.
Such touch-sensitive panels are designed to act as replacements for physical keys. The motivation behind such integration is to make room for quick controls such as phone, notifications and music icons to be placed on the edges for the Galaxy S30. This would of course would then eliminate the need that is presented as far as physical buttons go – which not only take space, but also degrade over time.
Of course this is certainly a very interesting and noble way in which phone controls may be approached. However, the practicality still isn’t quite there : evident from Apple’s touch bar which has only gone on to divide opinions.

Other than this though, it is being claimed that the next flagship from Samsung’s S-series lineup will feature with a 6.8-inch 4K AMOLED display with an In-display fingerprint scanner placed under the screen as well as an under-the-display 25MP selfie camera – a prospect which has been coming for quite a while now, and is only likely to shake the up the way we see smartphone designs being held up in today’s world.
And while we’re on the subject of cameras, it is said that the upcoming flagship phone would arrive with a quad-camera setup with a 108MP main camera as the primary. Though as far as internals and other specs go – we don’t know a lot just yet. Of course this will change as time goes on and we get closer and closer to the launch for Samsung’s next big flagship phone.
