Well that was unexpected! The latest news surrounding Samsung is that the Korean manufacturer is in the works for a new 5G capable device which is not actually the Galaxy S series. Indeed the latest reports have indicated that the Galaxy A90 might be the first phone from the company’s A series to feature with 5G. The device has been certified by the WiFi Alliance.
The Galaxy A90 5G was first spotted on Geekbench just last month, featuring with premium specs consisting of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, along with six gigs of RAM and finally, 5G capabilities. The device comes with the model number SM-A908B.
The WiFi Alliance certification page does not actually reveal too much about the device. Though, the certification listing does actually confirm that the device will be running on the Android Pie and will also support dual-band WiFi 802.11 ac. Rumors earlier with regards to the device have suggested that it will feature with a triple camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, along with a 12MP sensor, and finally, a 5MP sensor – all along with a “Tilt OIS” feature.

There also happens to be a 4G version of the Galaxy A90 with the model number. As far as the 4G version of the Galaxy A90 goes – it feature with a slightly different camera setup : while it still is a triple camera setup, it features with sensors 48MP + 8MP + 5MP. There are also some features that both the smartphones will have in the same respects – for example, both will feature with a massive 6.7 inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED displays that will indeed be coming with FHD+ resolutions.
It’s exciting times for Samsung. The company is finally looking to launch its Galaxy Fold in the next month, while its flagship Galaxy Note series too isn’t far away, and now with the news of the Galaxy A90 coming with 5G in mind, one would have to imagine that 2019 is to be a very important year for Samsung – one which would represent how much the Korean manufacturer has progressed in recent times.
