So as per the latest developments it has been found that the fare of the metro bus which runs in between Rawalpindi and Islamabad shall be increased from the previous price of Rs20 to Rs30 per each passenger.
In addition to this the Punjab government has given the Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA) the All goin order for them to increase fares for the stated service between Rawalpindi and Islamabad and it is believed that this new fare will also be implemented in Lahore, however as per the reports it seems that the people of Multan will see things unchanged.
Moreover, the PMA General Manager Operations Uzair Shah spoke with the Media platform, Dawn and has stated that the government has approved the summary to increase the fare for the above mentioned service and on top of that the PMA notified this increase two days ago.

Furthermore,the fare of Rs30 will be implemented from today onwards, and all concerned passengers will have to pay the increased fare. .
Furthermore,the decision to increase the fare came in to consideration after the price of petroleum products have seen a rise in the past few month, Moreover an official from PMA further on also stated that, the fare needed to be increased so that the government subsidy for the service could remain the same following the rise in petrol prices and the devaluation of the national currency against the Dollar.
It should be noted that after the PTI government came into power in 2018, the Punjab government which is led by the PTI as well was all set to increase the metro bus service fare to end the subsidy given to the PMA in order for them to keep the fare constantat Rs20 per person.
