The Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan has officially announced their Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for bringing in phones from abroad in to thecountry of Pakistan. Moreover these rules are applicable on all of theconcerned travelling individuals and do not apply on to the usual tradechannels. This comes after the DIRBS has officially begun its service in Pakistanand after the customs authority issuing the various duties on phones brought Infrom outside the country premises of Pakistan in order to control the smuggling of mobile phones in to Pakistan.

Moreover the rules and the tariffs regarding the bringing of phones in to country is also available on the Customs desks at the International Arrival terminals across Pakistan. These rules and regulations are as follows:
- One phone can be registered without any duty.
- Phones on roaming do not have to be registered and you won’t need to pay duty on them.
- Any phones being used in Pakistan for less than 30 days don’t need to be registered and are free from duty and taxes.
- Any phones used or activated in Pakistan before 1st December 2018 are also free from duty and don’t need to be registered.
- Duty and registration services are available at all international airports as well as custom houses across Pakistan.

More importantly it should also be mentioned that no phones are to be confiscatedwhile they are being evaluated for the relative duty tax or when they are beingregistered. All in all people are allowed to bring in up to 5 phones per yearin to Pakistan.
