An uncommon name in the mobile phone industry, TCL have just added two new models to their up and coming range of smartphones, the 10 series. Although, they are very similar in design to their two recent phone in the lineup, the TCL 10 Pro or 10 5G, unlike those two, the TCL 10 Plus and 10 SE are mid-rangers which have just gone on sale in Russia. The TCL 10 Plus very similar to the TCL 10L which was only launched a few months ago. The major difference that we could find was that this new device features a notched display instead of a punch-hole cutout and that it has a curved AMOLED panel put in. The size of the screen stands at 6.47-inches and the resolution of the display is 1080p. The new device also comes with a in-display fingerprint sensor which makes the phone all the more attractive, considering that it is a mid-ranger.

The back supports a triple camera sensor aligned horizontally which is something you don’t find in many phones nowadays. Furthermore, the TCL 10 SE is what you can consider as a budget device which comes loaded with a 6.52-inch flat LCD screen and this particular phone also has a waterdrop notch at the top. The phone only supports a 720p screen and has a 83% screen to body ratio because of the larger bezels compared to the 10 Plus.A fingerprint sensor and a triple camera setup following the traditional TCL design is found at the back of the device. The TCL 10 Plus gains power from a mid-range Snapdragon 665 SoC which supports up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, surprisingly, in a good way of course, more the merrier they say! Conversely, the TCL 10 SE features the budget Mediatek Helio P22 SoC seen on several other entry-level devices. This is paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. Both devices come with the Android 10 software with TCL’s custom UI.
In the camera department, the TCL 10 Plus houses a quad-camera setup at the back while the TCL 10 SE comes with a triple camera setup. It should be noted however that phones have the 48MP main sensor and a ultrawide camera, a depth sensor, but the 10 Plus gets an additional 2MP lens for macro photography. The 10 Plus is capable of 4k 30FPS and 1080p 120FPS videography, but the 10 SE can only do 1080p 30 FPS. On the front, the 10 SE has an 8MP camera sensor for selfies while the 10 Plus has a 16MP selfie shooter instead. You shall get a large 4,000 mAh battery packed inside the 10 SE, but the 10 Plus brings 4,500 mAh battery capacity on the table. Both have fast charging available through the USB C port but non of the two devices carry support for wireless charging. TCL are yet to give any news relevant to the pricing of both devices, but we shall keep you updated as always.
