Supreme court’s Mohamand and Daimer Bhasha Dams current Status

So one of the major crisis that surrounds our country is that of the scarcity of Water, while many may not take this seriously, we assure you that this crisis, if not dealt with properly can have devastating affects for the country and its people. In 2018, the honorable , former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr. Saqib Nisar informed the nation about the current situation of water scarcity in Pakistan and the effects it can have on the country, it is believed that if things are not dealt with, regarding the supposed issue, Pakistan may experience a shortage of water by the year 2025, which by all means is only 6 years from now. We are already aware of the part water plays in the survival of all living creatures, it is a basic necessity and a public good to be used by all. A person cannot survive more than 4 days without a single glass of water. Moreover, one can only imagine the seriousness of the situation. Moreover, in calaboration with the previous and current government of Pakistan, the Supreme court officially initiated a campaign which was started to create more awareness and to in turn make people save up water by not over-consuming it, storing any unused water in containers, all in all showcasing how important it is to conserve water.

But that is not the solution of the crisis, the people and the government is well aware that it will take more effort than just that. In turn, together, the government and the Supreme Court of Pakistan, initiated fund raising for the DaimerBhasha and Mohammadun Dams in Pakistan and hence laid emphasis on how important the creation of these two dams is for Pakistan. Moreover, fundraising began and people from all over the country made donations for the important cause. Moreover the amount raised so far is nowhere near what is needed but one must applaud the willingness of the people of Pakistan for trying there very best to donate as much money as possible. So far the government is trying there best to get Pakistan out of this crisis and are trying other ways of earning the amount required for the creation of the two dams. We can only wish them best of luck and hope that the situation is resolved.
