When VR technology was introduced to the world, it was an extremely exciting prospect but it didn’t catch on because of the extra accessories required and people not willing to change their habits of using controllers for games. Despite, VR making the games more immersive, it just couldn’t replace the proper control that the gamer felt when using controls. Sony has just the plans for that. According to the latest patent, Sony is in development of a certain gloves that would allow the gamer to feel the equipment that the player picks up whether it be a shotgun or a hammer, the distance relative to other objects, the pressure put on a particular object would now be felt once the technology comes into production. This would certainly take immersion to a whole new level with the haptic feedback making the player feel that he is part of the experience and not just viewing it from afar.

Other applications for the technology could be trying on outfits like hats, footwear and other clothes. Although it is too early to be expecting a working model, this technology might just revive the lost excitement of the VR and make it exciting again.
