Snapchat is rolling out its biggest change yet: Memories,a searchable, shareable archive of your snaps inside the app itself. It’s a personal collection of your favorite moments that lives below the Camera screen. Just swipe up from the Camera to open Memories! Introduction of this major new feature represents a big shift for the famously ephemeral Snapchat, and shows the app’s growing status as the default camera for millions of users.Memories also comes with the option to send your favorite, saved snaps to your friends or even post them to your story. It’s like if you post a snap which you took twenty hours before or more,it will appear with a frame around it,showing people in your friend list it’s from the past.Plus you can now change the privacy of your stories to ‘my eyes only’,to avoid awkward moments when a friend stumbles upon a Snap which was meant just for you. You have to type in a PIN code to access those
memories, and if you forget your PIN, Snapchat won’t recover the images. Open Memories and you’ll find your saved snaps in reversechronological order. Rectangular posts are individual snaps; circular posts represent stories, and offer live previews of the snaps they contain. Memories also contains tabs for viewing just snaps, just stories, or your phone’s complete camera roll.It is expeced to roll out by next month, You’ll receive a Chat from Team Snapchat when Memories is ready for you to use.
