Snapchat has been immensely popular since its release, and its great rise can be further proved by the fact that the parent company of Snapchat has now chosen to take a large amount of office space, near Santa Monica airport, to further enhance its own rapid development. The company, Snap Inc. has leased 300,000 square feet, with the option to extend with an additional 100,000 feet, at the famous Santa Monica Business Park, and this is according to the Westside real estate experts, who know the details about dealings but are not authorized to reveal any details publicly.
This seems to be a future investment, as the company’s real estate broker, Gary Horwitz of JLL, revealed recently on Friday that Snap will continue to keep its offices in Venice, it is headquartered, but the future growth is expected to be in Santa Monica, hence the lease. Gary himself refused to reveal any details about the deal, and the company also declined to comment. Although the financial terms have not been revealed or leaked, it is estimated that the landlord was asking for $4.65 to $4.95 per square foot a month.
This isn’t snap’s first big real estate coup, as the company recently signed a six-year lease in September to take over 79,000 square feet of office and hangar space at Santa Monica airport. Snap also loves to take care of its employees, as it provides shuttles to ferry employees between offices and parking lots, and gives employees the luxuries of free vouchers.
Snap Inc. is clearly up for great expansion, as there are more than a 100 job opportunities, including posts like chefs, and security guards. With already 1500 employees, it is impressive that snap has more job opportunities, and clearly shows the ambition of the company!
