Sania Mirza announces her first pregnancy after eight years of marriage. After Shahid Kapoor’s tweet announcing his wife’s second pregnancy, in a cutest way; Indian tennis player Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik could not help announcing that they are expecting their first child.
The couple made this announcement through their social media accounts and posted an illustration of a locker room, stating their surnames.
According to Sania’s tweets and social media posts, she want a girl to first call her ‘Mom’, and she is excited to decide ‘Mirza Malik’ as surname of her baby to come.
Sania, while talking during a panel discussion on ‘gender bias’ at the Goa Fest 2018, stated her pregnancy announcement as unveiling of a secret and said “My husband and I have spoken about it and we have decided that whenever we get a child, the child will have Mirza Malik as a surname,”. According to Sania, his hubby is also in want if a daughter.
Shoaib expressed his joy in a press release saying that they are very excited to enter this new phase of their lives, as they have been thinking about it for a while and look forward to their journey as parents.

“We are soon to become parents. Having thought about it for a while, we both felt right now is the correct time to start a family” , says Sania.
We wish the excited couple a happy life with a child who will strengthen their relationship.
The expected child of the cricketer ‘Father to be’ and Tennis star ‘mother to be’ will be welcomed in the world in the month of October this year.
Point to be noted here is that the couple celebrated their eighth marriage anniversary a few days back on April 12.
Sania is the 31-year-old Indian tennis superstar. She is out of action due to a jumper knee issue since October last year. She announced her pregnancy through a tweet, by posting a picture suggesting that she is pregnant.
Sania’s father & coach Imran has also confirmed that the six-time Grand Slam champion is expecting a child.
