Samsung has been teasing its foldable phone- the so-called Galaxy Fold, for a long time now, and the only question that remained was when would it finally unveil the device to the mass market having previously shown it at CES. This question has been answered through a teaser from Samsung and the date has been set. February 20.
Sounds Familiar? Yes, it’s the same day Samsung plans on unveiling its flagship, The Galaxy S10.
Samsung did provide a sneak peek at the phone and showed it off at CES through which, the viewers were able to get the specifications of the device. The phone will be having two displays with sizes measuring 4.58-inch and 7.3 inches, with aspect ratios of 21:9 and 4.2:3 respectively. The resolution numbers are also impressive at 1960×480 pixels for the smaller display, to be placed on the outer side of the phone, while the primary display coming around at 2152×1536 pixels. However, any other details are yet to be announced.
SAMSUNG READY TO UNFOLD THE CURTAIN OFF OF ITS FOLDABLE PHONE
Over the past few months, we have seen more than a few companies, introduce their foldable phone prototypes, with promising designs from the likes of Xiaomi and a rather surprise entry being the Chinese Royale FlexPai. Still, it’s way too soon to pass any judgements and with Samsung getting in on the act themselves this will be a heated battle as to who provides the most innovate use out of its foldable devices. For now, the spotlight remains on the Galaxy Fold as the world awaits the next step in smartphone evolution: foldable phones.
