Samsung Plans To Construct 3nm Process Technology Chip in 2022. To let the users get things done faster, Samsung has plans to introduce new chips with 3 nanometer (nm) process technology. The newly planned technology is to be brought in 2022, according to a statement posted on Phone Arena’s website on May 27, 2018.
Samsung is the smartphone giant which came from South Korea and has plans to construct the chip with help of Gate-All-Around (GAA), multi-bridge-channel FET (MBCFET).
This yet to be constructed chipset is being said to be small in size. Also it is being reported that this chip will be produced with strong process and energy conservative.
It is no longer than a week when Samsung conveyed its plan to produce such a smaller sized chip in the annual Foundry Forum in America.
On the event of Annual Foundry Forum in America the South Korean giant unveiled the roadmap to produce the chipsets. The roadmap to construct these chips starts with the process technology of 7 nm Low Power Plus, 5 nm Low Power Early & 3nm Gate-All-Around Early.

The 7 nm chip has been planned to be produced this year with lithography EUV solution. While the mass production of parts using the new process will be started in the first half of the upcoming year. It will start when Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company ( shortly known as TMSC) chip producer mass produce 7 nm or even 5 nm as it has been stated in 9TO5MAC’s site.
On the event of Foundry Forum, one of the leading smartphone manufacturer Samsung claimed to produce the 5 nm chip design and 4 nm chip design in the upcoming year and in the year 2020.
Samsung has announced to produce 7 nm process technology chip for Snapdragon 855, Qualcomm early this year. The planned chipset is most likely to be Samsung S10’s new weapon in 2019.
