Although these phones have a had a pretty shaky start, companies are all in to give users an amazing dual-screen experience. The phones design have varied from company to company with some phone manufacturers deciding to put a secondary display on the phone’s back panel so that the main camera setup on the back of the phone can still be used as a selfie camera as well. Samsung recently launched their version of the foldable device in February and well, lets just say things did not go as plan, now Samsung are looking to redeem there reputation and are possibly looking to launch yet another dual-screen device, the Korean manufacturers are planning to launch a new Galaxy A-series smartphone which will come with dual displays. The company has patented a new dual-screen phone and let’s just hope things go well for the company this time around.A patent for the Samsung Galaxy smartphone with a secondary display on the back was published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the WIPO World Intellectual Property Office.
Now the images attached along the patent have shown that the new device has a full-screen display on the front end of the device which covers most of the phone’s front end with a seemingly end to end screen to body ratio. Just like the designs mentioned above, by the looksof things this device does not have a front-facing camera. The back end of the device houses a secondary display which is about half in size when compared to the screen size at the front.Moving on, the secondary display is placed on the top part of the back panel which allows users to hold the smartphone just like they would hold any other device, without causing causing in problem. Furthermore, the patent also shows that when the front or the rear display is out of use, it can be turned off automatically which will save users a lot of battery capacity. The display can then be turned on again when any activity takes place, for instance, a touch input.
