Samsung Galaxy S10 will feature in-display fingerprint reader, confirmed. According to latest report, Samsung Galaxy S10 will feature an in-display fingerprint reader. Currently, this technology is being developed by three different sensor companies.
The news is covered by Korean site The Bell, which states that Galaxy S10 would expectedly feature both an in-display fingerprint reader and Face ID-style 3D sensing technology.
The S10’s fingerprint reader will be situated under a brand new Infinity Display, which is larger in size over the S9 from 5.77-inches to 5.8-inches. Due to the reason that most the phone’s bezels will be reduced in size once more, according to the report.
The report confirmed the news of having an Infinity Display with in-screen fingerprint reader. It’s finalized and all set to go into production in November (2018). It confirms the previous rumor that Samsung would likely not introduce the tech in the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 smartphone.

For now, the technology is “being developed by three sensor companies, named Qualcomm and Synaptics from the US, and Aegis Tech in Taiwan”.
On the other side, the famous news about the S10’s panel tech also apparently confirms that its long-rumored foldable phone will not come this year. Although, currently there are confirm news that Huawei is closest to launching one. It seems that Huawei will beat Samsung in this domain and set a new mark.
So, for now we are having a new Infinity Display with in-display fingerprint reader and 3D sensing tech also expected to take place.
Well, all of this leads us to consider that the Note 9 must have some other new feature or hardware to lean on this year, particularly as Samsung look to be very positive about its capabilities.
A blown up, super-sized battery surely makes sense with faster hardware and extra HDR display smarts, which would truly lend a hand to push on the handset from last year’s already excellent Galaxy Note 8.
