Samsung has made it clear that the Korean company is set for a whole new strategy with regards to naming its various smartphones, and the company will do so by introducing lineups, which are put into terms alphabetical wise, and with that in mind, the rumors that stated before that Samsung had plans for several new smartphone lines might just be true.
So as it goes, the new lineups would obviously play a major role in Samsung’s strategy in the smartphone market, as the company attempts to move forward further from its already very dominant position across the smartphone world. Just last month, there came reports that Samsung was fully planning to get rid of its J series entirely, and as rumors go further, they went on to suggest that in place of Samsung’s J series, the company would then bring along another lineup – which would go by the name of “M” series. Now,previously, such a statement could’ve been 50/50, as there was nothing concrete, and this could all well become true now, since the company’s upcoming Galaxy M series has surfaced in the Geekbench database – specifically enough, the Samsung Galaxy M2 made its way on the Geekbench.

The Samsung Galaxy M2 comes with model number –SM-M205F. The phone will be powered by an Exynos 7885 chipset, and the chip is a 14nm one. The chipset comes with two, relatively, and in all aspects, independently fast Cortex-A73 cored and six A53 cores. In addition to all this, the phone also features a Mali-G71 GPU – which is pretty much the same which is being used in Samsung’s A series. Furthermore, the phone is expected to come with 3 gigs of RAM, coupled with 32 gigs of internal storage.
For now, according to the reports, the Galaxy A series is set to be retained by the Korean company, as Samsung plans to continue to focus all its powers into providing more than quality phones through the lineup. And as far as the M series goes, it is expected to cater towards a more specific and particular group of customers, through a civil, and global pitch. We’ll see soon enough now how Samsung’s plan goes, till then, we’ll just have to wait and see.
