In an event tomorrow, Samsung is set to unveil some of the new members which will feature within its Galaxy A series. The eventsare set to take place simultaneously in a variety of different cities, and will see the Korean manufacturer unveiling phones like the Galaxy A40, A70, and the A80/A90.
Now, ahead of the announcement which is set for tomorrow, the Galaxy A80 has also been spotted on Geekbench. The phone with model number SM-A805F was also benchmarked earlier today.
The Samsung Galaxy A80 will run on Google’s latest Android Pie right out of the box, and will get its juice from the Snapdragon 675 along with 8 gigs of RAM. On the single-core test, the phone managed to score 2488 points, while it managed to achieve a score of 6732 points in the multi-core test. In an earlier leak, it was stated that the phone will be powered by the SDM7150, however, this isn’t consistent with the Geekbench result.

Most of the talk surrounding the Galaxy A80 concerns the phone’s design. There have been reports which suggest that it will be Samsung’s first ever phone without the presence of a notch or even a bezel, and will have slide-out rear camera that also happen to rotate to serve as the front facing cameras. The previous leak just talked which claimed that the phone will feature with the SDM7150 chipset also stated that the phone will not feature with a traditional earpiece, rather it will pump out audio from the screen itself.
There is still some time to go before the launch of the phone finally takes place, be it, just hours and hence there still might be some details which you might want to look on for in this period of time.
