Samsung bug is sending your photos to your contacts without your permission. A serious kind of bug has been spotted by Samsung users that send photos to your contacts without your permission as reported by Android Authority.
Users with the latest model of the Samsung Messages app reported at Reddit that photos they either sent before or in their entire galleries were sent to other contacts in their phones even without their consent.
You may witness the same, if you own the latest model of Samsung’s device. As, it may have had photos from your phone’s Gallery sent to your contacts devoid of your permission.
Some Samsung users experienced the issue on their Galaxy Note 8, while others also have reported the same problem on their Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus units.
Moreover, the Samsung Messages virus does not appear to be device or network specific. Until now, no one is aware of the fact that from where this bug came.
Although phone owners recommended that you should disable storage permissions for Samsung Messages. It will prevent the app from taking out photos from the phone Gallery app.
How to disable storage permission from Samsung device?
If you are facing the same issue with your Samsung device, you are advised to follow these simple steps to disable storage permissions.
Go to Settings -> Apps -> Samsung Messages -> Permissions -> Storage. That’s all you need to do. However, keep in mind that you will not be able to send images or GIFs to other contacts from within the app if you disable storage permissions.
On the other hand, you can also turn off auto-updates by going to the Settings menu within Galaxy Apps. Still, you got a safe option to use a different messaging app until Samsung gets its act together.
