Earlier in 2019, Redmi had made history by launching its first ever smartphone after gaining independence from its parent company of Xiaomi. The phone launched was called the Redmi Note 7, and has gained quite some popularity in China – the only country where it has been made available from the Chinese brand. The popularity is proved by the fact that Redmi was successful in selling out the phone completely in the company’s flash sales in just few minutes.
Ever since the Redmi Note 7 was launched, there have been rumors about another phone coming Redmi – a bigger sibling if you must of the Redmi Note 7 : the Redmi Note 7 Pro. And while it was expected that the phone will make its debut quite soon, no specific timeframe was given – until now.
As recently as yesterday, Redmi president Lu Weibing had confirmed via a post on Weibo that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be launched in China nextweek. While we know this much, the exact date hasn’t actually been revealed.

In the same thread, Lu also hinted towards the price of the phone, and he did so replying to the users who commented on his post. With his suggestions in mind, it might be fair to say that the upcoming phone might be priced under 2000 Yuan. With that said, what we are experiencing is that the price for the phone will start from in and around 1500 yuan, and go up and until 2000 yuan, all of which depends upon the different variants that might pose of course, based on the memory configurations etc.
There isn’t much we know about the Redmi Note 7 Pro just yet, however, what we can expect is that it will be a slightly upgraded version over the Redmi Note 7. The phone is set to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest, Snapdragon 675 chipset, while the phone is set to boast a 48MP Sony IMX586 camera instead of the Samsung GM1 sensor which we found present on the standard variant.

The phone is expected to feature with a 6.43-inch Full HD+ display which is notched – a waterdrop notch to be specific, and is likely to carry 6 gigs of RAM and 128 gigs of internal storage. The phone will run Android Pie, and will feature with a 4000mAh battery to keep the lights running. It is also expected that the phone will feature with an In-display fingerprint scanner.
