Redmi Note 6 gets the Android 9.0 update

So in the modern generation of technology one can easily say that the Redmi Note 6 Pro might be one of the unpopular devices in the famous Redmi series. It should be noted that Redmi is a sub-brand of the very famous brand we all know as Xiaomi who in turn are providing fierce competition to the top three market shareholders in the world. Now the device in discussion launched with a pretty innovative design at the time, with a notched display and upgraded cameras which included the extra selfie camera and  larger apertures. However even with the new additions, the fact that the company opted to keep with the  processor of its predecessor  Redmi Note 5 Pro, made the phonea little unattractive to a lot of users, who use the phones from the series.

Now a new update is revealed to be rolling out to the phone and it seems that the new update will bring in the big gun of the Google AndroidOS arsenal, with Android Pie revealed to be coming as the update. The phone, which launched in November 2018 was running the Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with a planned upgrade to Android Pie in the near future, that future is coming to this particular device now. The new MIUI 10.3.2 update rolling out brings the latest version of Android to the phone.

The new update for the Redmi Note 6 Pro  is revealed to be 1.7GB in size. The changelog doesn’t actually say it brings Android Pie but the Android version changes after the update so rest assured users will get the new OS version. What the changelog says are that the system performance has been optimized and system security and stability will be improved once the new update is up and running.Moreover, the device comes packed with a 6.26-inch FHD+ LCD display with a wide notch at the top for dual selfie cameras (20MP + 2MP). There is a Snapdragon 636 processor under the hood paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. It has a 12MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the back as well as a fingerprint scanner. The Redmi Note 6 Pro packs a 4000mAh battery and charges via a MicroUSB port.
