As Red is set up to launch its new Hydrogen One smartphone excitement among the masses is reaching new heights, The phone is set to be launched on November 2nd and we now have additional detail regarding the phone thanks to the director Phil Holland the gave us a better idea of what we can expect from the innovative phone.
The beautiful design complements the highlights of the phone, with its 5.7 inch QHD holographic LCD, which is the first of its kind by the way and which has the a capacity to display images in four dimensions rather than two, which is the case for most phone. This results in a holographic effect without the need of actual glasses. In terms of the phone’s camera, this is the second biggest addition of the phone, in the form of a magnetic pogo connector, which allows photographers to actually attach modules which turns the phone in to an actual professional camera, quite like a typical DSLR in which you have to attach lenses according to capture the photo you are trying to seek. The audio consists of A3D spatial surround sound for better and louder sound effect which can also be considered as one of the highlight features. The rear camera is 12.3 megapixels and is capable of shooting 4V or holographic content for the display and is accompanied by a 8.3 megapixels cameras on the front. There is also a physical shutter key for the camera.
As per what’s been revealed about the Hardware the phone does not come with the latest and greatest internals, still featuring the slightly aging Snapdragon 835 which is a little disappointing considering the phone is $1195 phone and the bezel-less designs have also become variably mainstream considering the market for phones nowadays. There is however 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and MICROSD card slot to further expand the storage. There’s also a dual SIM connectivity, comes with a headphone jack don’t worry and a fingerprint scanner on the side for quick access and charging is done via a USB-C port.
The recent flagships phones has done RED a reasonable favor, considering the prices of phones such as the IPhone XS and IPhone XS max, the price might just work for RED considering the high-end features which no one has. The new phone proves that in this technologically advance world, there is always room for improvement and we might see such innovative devices in the future
