Realme has been gearing up to launch its flagship phone for some time now, and since the launch was close, the phone had been subject to a substantial amount of rumors before it actually became official. Interestingly enough, the phone was spotted as it was being used by the Realme’s CEO, and the phone finally was subject to becoming official just yesterday. The phone is special for many reasons, and amongst these reasons is the fact that the phone is the first Helio P70 phone in the world – all this considering and also considering the fact that the phone is a mid-range phone, it is actually quite a decent package to be honest.
The Realme U1 comes with a 6.3 inch IPS LCD panel, coming with a 1080 X 2340px resolution. With accordance to the reports, the screen goes on to cover around 90.8 percent of the front of the phone. While the bezel at the top might seem to be a big one – coming in at around 2.05mm, in comparison, the side bezels are just 1.7mm. Not only is the lack of bezels a great attraction, but since the glass is guarded by Gorilla Glass 3 – it means that not only will you get the looks, but you’ll also have protection. On the back end of the smartphone, we have a material called acrylic, of which the phone is actually made of, and this, packed with a special coating, makes the phone’s look quite similar to that or glass. Hence, all in all, the phone has the tendency to give a rather sleek, and glassy look.

The phone is powered by a 3500mAh battery, and such a battery means that the lights will be kept on for the day quite easily. The handset also supports the capabilities to standard 10W charging, and this would be done via the use of Micro USB. The phone also comes with quite impressive camera setups, as the it features a dual rear camera setup of 13+2MP, while it comes packed with a 25MP selfie snapper to make sure that you’ll have the resources to take selfies like never before.
However, in retrospect, with all the brilliant features that the phone does come with, considering the fact that the phone will not feature 4K video capture has led to the disappointment of many. But of course, in a budget flagship phone, there is only so much a manufacturer can actually end up doing.
The phone will be coming in two variants – a variant having 3 gigs of RAM, and 32 gigs of internal storage, which is set to cost you around $170. On the other side of the picture, we have the more luxurious variant, which will come with 4 gigs of RAM, and 64 gigs of internal storage, and is set to cost you around $215.
