Qualcomm have updated the camera specifications for there Snapdragon chipsets

So quite like the everyday mobile phone devices we use everyday, the chipsets which power these devices also come with a proper specifications sheet and hence it is very important for the technology giants to know all about the platforms various features and what these processors can provide to a particular phone which is checked in order to equip their devices components which best suit the relative devices they end up in. Several chipsets are adopted by smartphones manufacturers for a very long period of time and when it comes to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platforms, the company provide the best smartphone SoC’s in the world. SoCs such as the Snapdragon 625 which was released back in 2016 and the Snapdragon 660 which still used on several previous-generation phones.

Moving on, it shouldbe noted that many display panels and camera sensors with latest specifications were released after these chipsets and, even though they often do not meet thestandards as the ones put on the specs sheets, they are often paired with these mobile platforms in the same phones. The best example would be that of the Xiaomi Mi 7 which carries a Snapdragon 660 chipset and a 48 Megapixel camera. Its initial specs sheet says it does not support such high Megapixel count, now that does not add up does it? Well, the point that these  specs of certain components do not meet the official requirements does not have to mean that it will not be compatible with a certain device, so there is ease there.

So recently, Qualcomm just updated the specification of sheets of manyof their Snapdragon chipsets and the new update is set to provide users with much more accurate camera specifications which will help the users, the owners of the company, and the developers to know immediately which camera sensors are best compatible with those chipsets. Folks at XDA Developers discovered that the official pages of Snapdragon 845, 710, 675 and 660 were updated in the month of February with the addition of new camera specifications, such as new info about the frame rates, Megapixel, resolution limitations, codec support, Multi-Frame Noise Reduction, Zero Shutter Lag and much more which will definitely benefit both the manufacturers of the device and the eventual buyers.
