So the Prime Minister Imran Khan met with a delegation of Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) which was headed by, Sheikh Faisal Bin Thani Al-Thani in Islamabad. The Qatari delegation expressed there desire of investment in various areas which include tourism, energy sector, housing and Airport Management. The Prime Minister in turn assured the delegation that the new government is taking measures to help aid the flow foreign investment in the country.It is reportedthat the delegation is looking toinvest in agriculture, infrastructure, power and tourism in the country of Pakistan. The companyalso wishes to provide management services to the Islamabad International Airport in order to provide better facilities to the passengers and the airliners.

About 3 days ago, a delegation lead by Sheikh Faisal Bin Thani Al-Thanitalked about their future investment plans with Federal Minister of Planning and development MakhdumKhusroBakhtiar. Housing and Works Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema, Haroon Sharif Chairman of Board of Investment, Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi, Special Assistant to PM Zulfi Bukhari and PM’s advisor on Commerce Abdul RazzakDawood were also present at the meeting which went as planned.
In the meeting both parties also discussed the energy and infrastructure requirements, Naya Pakistan Housing scheme and the possibilityof expansion of tourism in the country which were all discussed in the said meeting. In addition the QIA delegation comprised of the likes of Sultan Ali Hamad, Sultan Hassan Al-Saadi, Faisal Abbas Chaudhry, Hamad Al-Mulla, Mohammed Al-Hasmi, Deven Arvind Karnik and Khalid Jolo.
