It is without the shadow of a doubt that PUBG has taken its place in the all time most played games. The extent to which people play this game is so much that in countries like India it is banned in some parts because of the affect that it has on young children. Although, just a shooting game the experience is so great because of the extremely active multiplayer and the eagerness of the team behind PUBG to release timely updates to the game adding in more places to explore and more weapons to use.
However, the biggest problem was that PUBG was such a heavily worked on game, that phones with less processing power weren’t able to play those games. The graphics of PUBG require quite a lot of rendering and even on the phone, it requires very good specifications. Google is yet to add a separate section that could give an exact idea of the required optimal phone specificarions for games and apps. Testing the game on phones with 4GB and above RAM shows that the phone is able to handle the graphics well but anything less than that and the experience really disappoints.

Inorder to deal with the problem, PUBG developers introduced PUBG LITE. With some necessary changes they were able to bring the game size from 2 GB to 400MB. Obviously, there have been compromises made such as the smaller map and optimized graphics, limited playing time and less features. All of this makes the game playable on phones with less than 2GB of RAM. This comes to show how far mobile gaming has come in recent years that only Lite versions of some games can work well on 2GB RAM and with latest phones coming with upto 12GB RAM, the latest games are not slow in exploiting that available RAM for greater overall performance and better graphics.
