Islamabad, July 29, 2016: The PTCL Academy in Islamabad organized a development program in July 2016 for those Young Future Leaders amongst PTCL family members who wished to explore the world of learning while having fun.
There were a number of modules in the multi-dimensional program. These included Self-Discovery and Personality Exploration, Academic Options and Short Term Goals, Career Counseling aimed at Long Term Goals and polishing one’s Interpersonal Skills
The Program enabled the young Leaders to meet career and education counselors who assisted them in career goal-setting and guiding them towards attaining higher education objectives.
The core facilitator of the workshop, Ms. Umber Zaidi, a graduate from the USA and a specialized mind sciences trainer, helped the young leaders to discover their latent potential so that they could capitalize on their strengths.
The course helped the students in learning to project into the future and understanding the consequences of today’s choices and actions which would contribute towards building tolerance in them and nurturing respect for different belief systems, besides making them socially responsible citizens in a peaceful society.
Syed Mazhar Hussain, the Chief Human Resource Officer, PTCL, attended the closing ceremony and awarded certificates to the participants. He said, “We are proud to be an integral part of this effort to devise a holistic strategy for the development of our Young Future Leaders and appreciate the confidence bestowed upon us by the PTCL family members in this aspect by showing their overwhelming response.”
He added that the initiative underscored PTCL’s long-term commitment towards providing development opportunities to youth.
