PTALiftBanonPUBG is trending on various social media websites again

So coronavirus is not the biggest talk of the town anymore, at least for the younger generation of our country, especially after the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) imposed a strict ban on the game and in doing so they have suspended the famous battle royale oriented game in Pakistan. The PTA issued a press release to explain the reason behind banning such a famous game. PTALiftBanonPUBG is trending.

PTA have said thaf the decision was taken after the organisation received many complaints from various segments of the society; the parents, Punjab Police who had received word of multiple deaths occurring because of the addictive nature of the game. Moreover, a representative of PTA went on record and says that “PTA has received numerous complaints against PUBG wherein it is stated that the game is addictive, wastage of time and poses serious negative impact on physical and psychological health of the children”.

Now ever since the ban was put in action, social media has since lit up and that mainly ha to do with the  campaigns which asks the PTA and relevant government bodies to uplift the ban imposed on the very popular game. In last few days, a number of related hashtags were being used by the youth to make their opinion heard on public forums such as Facebook or twitter. 

With that being said, the Twitterati a famous twitter page which is known to voice their opinions on Twitter have once again launched a campaign with the hashtag PTALiftBanOnPUBG, it should be noted that PTA is expected the decide the fate of the game after hearing the complainants later today on 9th July, It is also worth mentioning here that the Islamabad High Court have issued directives to PTA that they issue a written order for the ban as per the law as it dismissed the petition filed by a local PUBG player who was set to represent Pakistan in a mega e-sports tournament this year.
