Xiaomi loves to experiment and the Mi MIX line is the evidence of that. What started off as a very bold design change with the start of full-frontal displays, has now become a recognized brand which might be among the most exciting of them all. The latest of these is the ALPHA which is not been tipped for launch and has been introduced only to show people what the company is capable of and also to show what can people expect from the future of smartphones.

Now that the specifications are out of the way, we can talk about what makes this phone so extra-ordinary! It has a wraparound display!! Unheard of anywhere else and that is why Xiaomi’s Mi MIX is the most exciting of all smartphones. The display wraps around the phone, only leaving a vertical camera strip. The front of the device is all screen! For the front camera, Xiaomi has added a feature that forces the user to use the rear end of the display and use the rear 108MP for selfies! This is an extremely outrageous design choice, however, the practicality of the phone might be put into question. Therefore, for now, the device is only a prototype with no intentions from Xiaomi to release the device.
